Peugeot 307 fuel pump connector issue

Alright, I'm hoping you can help. My 2001 Peugeot 307, diesel engine, is giving me fits. Only 78,000 km on the clock! It just won't start sometimes, then stalls at idle when it DOES start. The check engine light? On, of course. Engine runs rough, feels like I'm burning more fuel than usual...and I pulled the error codes. Fuel pump issues keep popping up. Any ideas before I lose my mind? Could it be something simple like a dodgy fuel injector?

Considering the reported symptoms and error codes, a fuel pump issue is highly probable. Have you inspected the electrical connections to the fuel pump? A defective cable or plug connection can manifest in the ways you describe.

So, you reckon it's definitely the pump or something related? What am I looking for exactly when I check the connections? Just loose wires?

The symptoms and error code strongly suggest a fuel pump malfunction or associated electrical problem. When inspecting the connections, check for corrosion, loose terminals, or damaged wiring. However, diagnosing electrical faults can be complex; professional diagnostic equipment will allow pinpointing the issue quicker.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I checked the connections like you said, didn't see anything obvious, so I took it to a workshop. Turns out a connector to the fuel pump was indeed faulty! Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Runs like a champ again. Cheers!
