Peugeot 307 mixture preparation error
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Peugeot 307 with a gasoline engine exhibited reduced power, rough running, jerking during acceleration, and occasional stalling, with a check engine light indicating a mixture preparation error. The issue was suspected to be related to misfiring, potentially caused by defective injection valves or a faulty oxygen sensor. Upon professional diagnosis, the problem was confirmed to be a defective injector, which was resolved by replacing all injectors, restoring the car's performance.

Misfiring is possible, yes. How did you fix yours? Was it definitely the injection valves? Anything else I should check before replacing them?

In my case, it was a defective injector. I'd recommend getting it checked by a workshop. They can confirm with diagnostics. A faulty oxygen sensor can also cause a mixture error, but the symptoms point to an injector.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were right, it was a defective injector. Replaced all of them to be safe. Cost me 515€, but the car runs like new again!

I had similar symptoms in my Peugeot 307. Does it feel like it's misfiring? Could be worth checking the injection valves.
