Peugeot 307 Overheating

Hi, I have a 2009 Peugeot 307 with a gasoline engine. Recently, the engine has been overheating. I noticed the electric fan isn't working as it should. Could it be a defective cable or plug connection?

I have a 307 too. I had a similar overheating problem a while back. Was the temperature gauge climbing higher than usual?

Yes, the temperature gauge was climbing quite high. It almost reached the red zone. What was the cause in your case?

Sounds like the same issue I had. In my case, it ended up being a faulty connection to the fan. I would suggest you go to a workshop and have them check it thoroughly.

Thanks for the advice. I got it checked, and it was indeed a defective cable connection to the fan, as suspected. Cost me 95€ to fix. Cheers!
