Peugeot 307 Overheating and Coolant Leak

Hi, I have a 2004 Peugeot 307 with a gasoline engine. I'm experiencing some issues that I can't figure out. The engine overheats, the check engine light is on, and there's coolant leaking under the car – seems like there's too much pressure in the cooling system. I'm suspecting a control unit communication error, I read something about it a while ago, but don't remember all the details. Has anyone else run into something similar?

That sounds rough. Could be a data link issue. Did you check the error codes already? I remember a similar problem with my old Citroen, the connection to the ECU was loose. I hope it's a simple fix for you too.

Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't checked the error codes yet, but where exactly should I be looking for the ECU connection? Is it easy to access?

Well, I am not sure about the exact location in your Peugeot 307, but if it gives you headache, I would recommend taking it to a workshop. Overheating can be nasty, and you don't want to risk more damage.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a shop, and it turned out a cable connector was defective. They fixed it for 95€. Everything seems to be working fine now.
