Peugeot 307 Power Window Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Peugeot 307 experienced power window failure, with a diagnostic scan indicating an error, though the fault was unclear. The initial suspicion was a defective power window switch. Suggestions included checking for obstructions in the window track and considering a faulty regulator motor, which could also cause an error code. Ultimately, the issue was confirmed to be a faulty power window switch, which was repaired at a local shop.

Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't checked the window track. Since there's no sound when I use the switch, could that mean it's the regulator motor? I'll check the window track, but could a faulty regulator motor cause an error code?

A bad regulator motor can throw an error code. But without taking apart the door panel and testing, you're just guessing. If you're not comfortable doing that, a workshop is best. Those regulators can be tricky.

I appreciate your insights. I took it to a local shop. Turns out the power window switch was faulty, like I thought. The repair was about 200€, including parts and labor. Thanks again for your help.

Sounds like a pain! Could be the switch, but have you checked the window track for obstructions? Sometimes debris can cause them to jam. Or the regulator motor might be shot. Is there any sound when you try to operate the windows, like a clicking or grinding?
