Peugeot 307 rough idle poor starting
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Peugeot 307 is experiencing poor starting, rough idling, excessive fuel consumption, power loss, and occasional stalling. The suspected cause is a dirty or defective injection nozzle, confirmed by error codes and a workshop diagnosis. The suggested solution is to have the injection nozzle replaced by a professional, as attempts to clean it may not resolve the issue.

Error codes, yes, showed something about the injection. Clogging makes sense. Did you manage to fix it yourself or did you go to a workshop?

Definitely sounds like the injection. I tried cleaning it myself at first, but it didn't really solve the problem. Ended up taking it to a workshop; they confirmed it and handled the replacement.

Right, thanks. Sounds like I'll be doing the same. Workshop confirmed a defective injection nozzle and quoted 515€ for the repair. Ouch!

Sounds familiar! I had similar issues with my 307. Rough idling and poor starting were the first signs. Have you checked for any error codes? Could be clogging.
