Peugeot 307 solar sensor error
Summary of the thread
A Peugeot 307 from 2005 is experiencing a solar sensor error, leading to insufficient heating output. The suspected causes include a defective cable or plug connection. The suggested solution is to check the sensor's wiring and connections, and if the issue persists, consider replacing the sensor and associated wirings. Ultimately, taking the car to a workshop for professional diagnosis and repair is recommended, which resolved the issue in this case.

Thanks for the info. What exactly did you do to fix it on your Astra?

Well, after checking the wiring and connections, the issue persisted. Considering the symptoms and the error message, my mechanic suggested replacing the sensor and associated wirings. In the end, it was easier for me to just take it to the workshop. I'd recommend doing the same.

Took it to the shop. They confirmed it was the solar sensor and a faulty connection. Repair cost 95€. Heating is working fine now. Thanks for the advice!

I had a similar issue with my Opel Astra a while ago. The symptoms were quite alike. The car was also showing a fault with the HVAC sensor and the heating wasn't working as expected. Did you check the sensor's wiring?
