Cheers for the reply! Yeah, I checked the fuses – all seem fine. The washer motor does whirr away when I pull the stalk, so it's getting power. Could it still be the heating element, even with the motor running?

Given that the fuse is intact and the washer motor operates, the heating element itself is a likely culprit, or possibly the wiring leading directly to it. While it is possible to diagnose this further yourself, due to the risk of damaging other components, I would recommend a visit to a qualified workshop.

Spot on! Took it to the shop; corroded connector on the heating element, just like you said. 95€ later, and it's sorted. Thanks for the steer!

Given the symptoms, a faulty windshield washer heater is plausible, especially considering the vehicle's age and the stored error memory. The issue could stem from a defective cable or plug connection. Before delving into more complex troubleshooting, have you checked the relevant fuses? Also, can you hear the washer motor operating when you attempt to use the system?
