Peugeot 307 Windshield Wipers Not Working

Hi, I have a 2003 Peugeot 307 with a gasoline engine. My windshield wipers aren't working at all. I checked the error memory and there's an error stored related to the wiper motor. Any ideas?

Hey! I had a similar issue with my Opel Corsa a while back. The wipers just quit. Turned out to be a frayed wire in the steering column wiring harness. Does your 307 have cruise control or a rain sensor? Those are often wired together and can cause issues if there's a short.

Yes, it has a rain sensor. Where exactly in the steering column was the frayed wire located?

Okay, that makes sense. Honestly, tracing those wires is a pain. In my Corsa, it was near where the wiring harness connects to the wiper switch itself. I ended up taking it to a workshop. They charged me around 80€ plus parts. At this point it's cheaper than potentially messing something up. Your cost will probably be around 95€.

Thanks for the help! I took it to the shop and it was indeed a faulty cable or plug connection of the component. They fixed it.
