Peugeot 308 Airbag Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Peugeot 308 owner reported an airbag warning light issue, with the error memory indicating a fault with the rollover sensor. The problem might be due to a defective control unit. A similar case was resolved by checking the wiring and connectors, but ultimately required professional diagnosis and replacement of the faulty sensor. It is advised to consult a workshop for accurate diagnosis and repair, especially with safety systems like airbags.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did give the wiring and connectors a once-over, but didn't find anything obviously loose or damaged. Was your issue definitely the sensor itself, or something else in the system?

Yeah, in my case with the 308, it turned out to be the sensor. After fiddling with the connections and still getting the error, I took it to a workshop. They confirmed the sensor was faulty and replaced it. Honestly, with safety systems like airbags, I wouldn't risk trying to fix it myself without proper equipment. Best to get it checked by a pro.

Appreciate the advice. Sounds like the workshop is the way to go. I'll book it in and see what they say. Looking at around 1000€ repair cost. Thanks again!

Hey, that sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Peugeot 308 a few years back. Same symptoms - airbag light, error code pointing to a sensor. Have you checked the wiring and connectors to the sensor? Sometimes a loose connection can cause these kinds of issues.
