Peugeot 308 automatic transmission converter issue

It seems to happen more often when the engine is warm. And it's more noticeable when I accelerate from around 50-70 km/h. Does this sound familiar to what you had?

Yep, almost exactly the same! For me it was a defective torque converter lock-up clutch. Honestly, I'd take it to a shop that specializes in transmissions. It's probably not something you can fix yourself unless you REALLY know your way around automatics. The diagnosis was a faulty converter, and the final repair cost was around 2120€. Good luck!

Thanks for the info! I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it's the torque converter. Looks like I'm in for an expensive repair.

Wow, sounds rough. I have a 308 too, and something similar happened to me last year. Slipping gears and a horrible grinding noise... It was awful! Did you notice if it happens more when the car is cold or hot? And does it seem to be worse at certain speeds?
