Peugeot 308 boost pressure control fault
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Peugeot 308 diesel exhibited a 'boost pressure control fault,' resulting in reduced power, increased fuel consumption, and an illuminated check engine light. The issue was suspected to be a faulty bypass valve. After further investigation, it was identified as a defective vacuum switching valve. Replacing the valve resolved the problem, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Interesting... Vacuum hoses seem ok at a glance. Where exactly was the issue on your BMW? Was it actually the solenoid? And were you also getting poor engine response?

The problem originated in a defective vacuum switching valve. I suggest you consider taking your Peugeot to a workshop for a thorough inspection of the turbocharger system. Compressor surge can damage the turbocharger.

Thanks for the insight! Took it to the shop and you nailed it - vacuum switching valve was indeed the culprit. New valve, fault cleared, and she's pulling like a train again. Cost me 140€ all in. Cheers!

I had similar symptoms with my BMW 3 series, also diesel. The fault code was related to the turbocharger system. Did you check the vacuum hoses and the boost solenoid? It could also be related to the intake manifold pressure.
