Thanks! Where's the throttle position sensor located, and how easy is it to get to? I'm not a mechanic, but I'm willing to take a look before going to a workshop. Also, could the clock spring be an issue?

The sensor is usually attached to the throttle body. It's accessible, but be careful if you're not familiar. A workshop might be best. My issue was a defective cable connection, which they repaired quickly.

Okay, thanks. With almost 260000 km on the vehicle, I'll take it to my local workshop. It was a defective cable or plug connection and the repair cost 95€.

I had a similar problem with my 308 recently. Did you check the throttle position sensor cable and plug connection? A bad connection there can cause cruise control to fail.
