Peugeot 308 Diesel Engine Problems

My 2021 Peugeot 308 diesel has an issue. At 235627 km, the check engine light is on. The engine runs roughly, stalls at idle, and jerks when accelerating. Could this be a defective fuel pressure sensor? I suspect a faulty cable or plug connection.

Sounds familiar! I had similar symptoms with my 308. Rough idle, engine stalling... the whole shebang. Have you checked the fuel pump relay? Also, maybe it's an engine misfire? Where did you read about the fuel pressure sensor?

I haven't checked the fuel pump relay, but I will add it to my list. I found the fuel pressure sensor mentioned online as a possible cause based on the symptoms. You mentioned a similar issue. Was it indeed the fuel pressure sensor, or something else entirely?

Yeah, in my case, the workshop identified a defective fuel pressure sensor. Seriously, stop troubleshooting, just go to a workshop!

I took it to the workshop, and you were correct. The fuel pressure sensor was indeed defective, or rather the connector. The repair cost me 95€. The car is now running smoothly again.
