Peugeot 308 diesel power loss
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Peugeot 308 diesel is experiencing power loss, poor response, and increased fuel consumption, with the check engine light on. The suspected causes include a faulty manifold pressure sensor and a possible vacuum leak. After taking the vehicle to a workshop, it was confirmed that the manifold pressure sensor was indeed faulty due to a vacuum leak, leading to its replacement.

Engine idle seems relatively stable. Regarding the vacuum hoses, could you elaborate on the specific areas where leaks are most likely to occur in this particular model?

Stable idle is good news, maybe. I'm no expert, but on older Peugeots, the hoses near the turbo and the ones connected to the brake booster are known for cracking. Honestly, with those symptoms and mileage, and me just guessing, you're probably best off getting it checked by a workshop. A proper diagnosis will save you time and money in the long run.

Following your advice, I took the vehicle to a workshop. Indeed, the manifold pressure sensor was faulty due to a vacuum leak, as suspected. The replacement cost 235€. Thank you for confirming my suspicion.

That sounds like a pain. Is the engine idling rough at all? Have you tried checking the vacuum hoses for any obvious cracks or disconnections? Sometimes a visual inspection can catch the culprit before you start throwing parts at it. Might save you some cash.
