Peugeot 308 Electric Reduced Power After Tuning

Thanks for the swift reply. I can check the exact fault code, but could this really be a software issue? The third-party provider assured me their tuning was fully compatible with the Peugeot 308's electric system. Is there any way to be certain it is a software issue before bringing the car to the shop?

While providers claim compatibility, aftermarket tunes can sometimes interfere with the factory ECU. The stored fault code is your best clue. But to be sure, revert to the factory ECU settings if possible. If the problem disappears, the tuning is likely the cause. In any case, it is recommended to bring your car to the workshop. It is most likely a software issue.

Thanks for clarifying. I brought it to the shop, and you were right: the error was related to the chip tuning I had done! The workshop told me that the chip was faulty and was interfering with the ECU. They reverted to the original settings, replaced the chip with a new one, and now it seems to be working just fine. The repair cost was 180€. I appreciate your help!

Reduced power and a fault code after tuning often points to software incompatibility. What fault code is the scanner reporting? Knowing the specific code would help pinpoint the problem.
