Peugeot 308 Error Messages

Alright Peugeot fam, my 2021 Peugeot 308 hybrid is throwing some serious shade my way. Got 214553 km on the clock and BAM, fault code outta nowhere. I'm getting error messages popping up in the infotainment system and even on the speedometer. Feels like my car's possessed! Anyone else run into something like this? I've got a sneaking suspicion it's something to do with the car's coding being off, but I'm no expert.

Whoa, that sounds rough! I've got a 308 too, and I had a similar issue a while back. Constant error messages, the whole shebang. Did you try checking the OBD-II port for any specific codes? That might give you a better idea of what's going on. For me, it turned out to be a faulty sensor, but honestly, it could be a million different things. What kind of error messages are you seeing?

Yeah, I plugged in an OBD-II scanner and got a code, but it was kinda vague, pointing towards a general malfunction with the control module. That's why I'm leaning towards a coding issue. What kind of sensor was causing the problems for you? And did the error messages mention anything specific, or were they just generic warnings?

Mine were pretty generic, like 'Engine Malfunction' and 'Service Required' – super helpful, right? The code pointed to something related to the fuel injection system, and after a bunch of diagnostics, the workshop guys found a dodgy fuel pressure sensor. Honestly, with yours being a hybrid and the code being so vague, I reckon it's best to take it to a professional. Hybrid systems can be a real pain to diagnose without the right tools and knowledge. Could save you a lot of headaches in the long run!

Thanks for the advice! You're right, I think I'm in over my head. Bit the bullet and took it to the Peugeot dealer. Turns out the car's coding was indeed incorrect, just like I suspected. They re-flashed the ECU, and everything's back to normal. Cost me 360€, but at least the ghost in the machine is gone!
