Peugeot 308 Hybrid Intake Air Temperature Error

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2021 Peugeot 308 hybrid. The check engine light comes on intermittently, and I've noticed a reduction in engine power. I ran diagnostics and there's an error stored related to the intake air temperature. The engine seems to be running rougher than usual. Could a faulty intake air temperature sensor cause all of these symptoms? Mileage is at 234658 km, I'm wondering if there could be other underlying issues.

Hey, that sounds familiar! I've got a Peugeot 308 too, and I had similar issues a while back. Reduced power and the check engine light were driving me nuts. Was the temperature reading way off when you checked it?

Yes, it seemed unusually high, even when the engine was cold. Did you ever manage to properly fix the issue? Or did you just get used to it?

Nah, I definitely got it fixed. Turned out to be a defective intake air temperature sensor, just like you suspect. Cost me around 155€ to get sorted at the local garage. Save yourself the headache, go to the workshop!

Thanks for the advice! That's exactly what I needed to hear to stop researching the topic by myself. I'll take it to a workshop and have the intake air temperature sensor replaced. Apparently that part costs 30€. Let's hope it fixes the problem!
