Peugeot 308 incorrect temperature readings

I'm having an odd issue with my 2010 Peugeot 308 (gasoline engine). The instrument cluster shows incorrect temperatures, the check engine light is on, and the engine takes ages to warm up. Mileage is 76058 km. I suspect a cooling grille restriction, but can't seem to find any fuse related to it. Anyone experienced this?

I had something similar with my 308. Check the engine temperature sensor; faulty readings can mess with the entire thermal management system. Also, inspect the wiring harness leading to the sensor for any damage or corrosion. I've seen that cause issues before.

Thanks! Where exactly is the engine temperature sensor located, and is it easy to access? Also, what kind of readings were you getting when yours was faulty?

On my 308, it was near the thermostat housing; fairly easy to spot with a bit of searching. My readings were all over the place, sometimes showing way too low, other times spiking high. I'd advise taking it to a trusted workshop. The defective fuse, if present, shouldn't be expensive, around 52€, but they'll diagnose it properly. Better safe than sorry!

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and it turned out to be a defective fuse. They replaced it, and everything is working perfectly now. Your experience really helped point me in the right direction!
