Peugeot 308 key battery low warning

I'm having trouble with my 2016 Peugeot 308 gasoline. It has 69056 km. I'm getting a 'key battery low' warning. Keyless access isn't working, and there's an error stored. Unlocking and locking are also unreliable. I think it's the key battery. Has anyone seen this?

Hey! I think I know what's up. I had a similar problem with my 308. Is it happening with both keys, or just one? Have you tried replacing the battery in the key fob yet? It's usually a pretty simple fix.

Thanks! It's occurring with both keys, unfortunately. I haven't replaced the batteries yet, as I wanted to see if there might be other causes first. Could you tell me more about your experience? Did replacing the battery fix everything?

Yeah, replacing the battery sorted everything out. I thought it was something serious at first, but the workshop said it was just the key batteries. The replacement cost me around 37€. Since it’s happening with both keys, they probably both just need new batteries. I'd suggest going to the workshop.
