Peugeot 308 rough cold starts
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Peugeot 308 diesel is experiencing rough cold starts, struggles until it warms up, and has increased fuel consumption. An error code suggests a potential issue with the electric auxiliary heater, which could be causing these problems. A similar case with a Renault Megane involved replacing the defective heater, resolving the symptoms. It is recommended to have the vehicle checked and possibly replace the heater to address the issues.

Yeah, the error code seems to be pointing towards the electric auxiliary heater. What was the damage on your Megane? Was it a straight-up replacement?

Yep, auxiliary heater was shot. Same symptoms: poor cold starts and higher fuel consumption. The workshop diagnosed a defective electric auxiliary heater and swapped it out. Cost around 350€. Might be worth getting yours checked.

Thanks for the info. Seems like I'm heading towards the workshop then. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. Had similar symptoms on my old Renault Megane. Is the error code pointing towards the electric auxiliary heater? If so, that's likely your culprit.
