Peugeot 308 Sun Blind Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Peugeot 308 owner is experiencing issues with the sun blind, which either fails to retract/extend or gets stuck, and a related fault is stored in the error memory. A similar problem was encountered by another individual, who suggested that the motor might be failing, especially if faint whirring noises are heard. The recommended solution is to have the motor checked at a workshop to resolve the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! Noise-wise, sometimes I hear a faint whirring sound, other times nothing at all. Was yours completely silent, or did you get the occasional noise too? And was it definitely the motor?

Yeah, faint whirring sounds familiar. I messed with it a bit, but honestly, it’s probably best to get it checked. My gut feeling is the motor is giving out. Saves you the headache. A friend told me that this UV protection is more important than people think, but that's another story.

Appreciate the advice! Sounds like a trip to the workshop is in order. Will get the motor checked out and hopefully that resolves it. The repair cost is around 330€ which isn't too bad. Thanks again!

Hey, I had something similar happen on my 308. Is it making any noise when you try to operate it? Mine did the same thing – stuck, no movement. Ended up being a pain, but fixable.
