Peugeot 308 System Readiness Check Error

I'm getting a system readiness check error on my 2020 Peugeot 308 diesel. It has about 39657 km. A recent OBD2 diagnostic readout might be the cause. Could that be it? I'm worried about the emissions test.

I have the same model and had a similar issue after diagnostics. The OBD readiness flags weren't set. Did you try a drive cycle? That sometimes resets the system. Otherwise, a computer reset might be needed. It's important for the emissions test.

Could you explain what a 'drive cycle' is? And what's involved in a computer reset if that doesn't work? I need to understand my options, especially for the emissions test.

A drive cycle is a specific driving sequence with varied speeds and acceleration, so the car's computer can run its checks. You can find the exact sequence online. I had the workshop handle mine before the vehicle inspection. They know how to do a computer reset and guarantee OBD readiness, so you pass the emissions test.

I took the Peugeot to a workshop, and they did a computer reset, which fixed the system readiness check issue. It was covered under warranty, so it cost 0€. Thanks for the advice; it really helped.
