Peugeot 308 transmission issues

I'm having issues with my 2017 Peugeot 308 diesel. The transmission indicator and check engine light keep appearing, and the automatic transmission goes into emergency mode. It's not shifting right – feels like it's slipping, unclean shifts, and I even hear grinding. I scanned it, and it's throwing an error related to radiator oil pressure being defective. It's got 113699 km on it. Could a defective cable or plug connection be causing this?

I have a 308 too. I experienced similar transmission issues and warning lights. Did you check the radiator coolant level or any signs of leaks?

Yeah, I checked the coolant level – it seemed okay. No obvious leaks that I could see. I was really hoping it wasn't something major with the transmission itself. Could a radiator issue really cause those transmission symptoms?

Yes, a radiator issue can definitely cause those symptoms due to oil pressure problems. I'd advise getting it checked at a workshop, it is probably a defective cable or plug connection of the component. It cost me around 95€ to get it sorted.

Thanks! I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. Turns out it was just a defective cable. They replaced it, and everything's running smoothly again. Much appreciated!
