Peugeot 4007 Camshaft Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Peugeot 4007 is experiencing rough starts, occasional stalling at idle, and an illuminated check engine light, leading to suspicion of a camshaft sensor issue, possibly involving the encoder wheel. The problem worsens when the engine is cold. Cleaning the sensor might provide temporary relief, but a faulty camshaft sensor is likely, requiring professional diagnosis and repair.

Yeah, worse when cold. Haven't cleaned it yet. Worth a shot? Or is it likely proper sensor failure?

Cleaning might help temporarily, but in my case, it kept coming back. Eventually, the workshop diagnosed a faulty camshaft sensor. Cost me 695€ to get it sorted.

Thanks. Sounds like a trip to the shop is in order. Appreciate the heads up.

I had similar issues with my 4007. Is it worse when the engine is cold? Have you tried cleaning the sensor?
