Could you elaborate on which specific fuses I should inspect? Also, did your diagnostic also point to a potential cable or plug issue?

Yes, the diagnostic also pointed towards a cable issue, but before tearing everything apart, the workshop suggested checking the fuses first, as it’s simpler. They specifically checked the ones related to the central locking and the car alarm system. If the fuses are fine, it's probably best to take it to a workshop. I had to do that.

It seemed best to have it professionally inspected. The repair shop identified a defective cable. Repair costs totalled 95€. Thanks for your assistance.

I had a similar problem with my 4007. The central locking went haywire. Have you checked the security system or car lock fuses? Sometimes a simple fuse replacement can resolve it, even with an error stored. The cables and plugs make me think of the electrics. Did you explore that? Security system faults can be tricky.
