Peugeot 4007 Fog Sensor Issues

Hi, I'm having a strange issue with my 2008 Peugeot 4007 diesel. The fog sensor seems to be faulty. I'm getting an error code, the AC won't switch on, the windscreen spray nozzles are frozen even when it's not that cold, and the mirror heating isn't working. The car has 76116 km. Any ideas? I suspect a bad connection.

Hey! I had something similar with my Peugeot 4007. Those symptoms are wild! A fog sensor affects all that? It sounds like a nightmare. I would start by checking the cable and plug connections to the sensor, as you mentioned. It's often the simplest things. Has this happened before, or is it a brand new problem?

Thanks! It's a new problem, just started happening recently. Where exactly is the fog sensor located? And what kind of cable connection am I looking for?

Okay, new problem, good to know. I'm not 100% sure on the 4007, but on mine it was behind the rearview mirror, near the rain sensor. As for the cable, look for anything loose, corroded, or damaged. Honestly, though, those climate control issues sound deeper than just a loose wire. If you're not confident, a workshop visit might be the best bet.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were right - it was a defective cable connection, just as we suspected. They fixed it for 95€. Everything is working now!
