Peugeot 4007 IAT Sensor Error

Hey, my 2009 Peugeot 4007 (gasoline engine) is acting up. Check engine light is on, power is down, and the engine runs rough. Hooked up a diagnostic tool and it's throwing an intake air temperature sensor error. Mileage is at 248819 km. Think it's the IAT sensor?

Sounds familiar. Had similar issues with my old Opel Astra. Same symptoms – check engine light, rough running. I also got IAT sensor error codes. What temperature reading does your diagnostic tool show?

The temperature reading seems way off, like -40 degrees Celsius even when the engine is warm. Was that similar to what you saw on your Astra? Did it fluctuate at all?

Yep, mine was stuck on a crazy low reading too. I'd say it's almost certainly the sensor. Could try cleaning the contacts, but honestly, save yourself the hassle and just get it swapped out at a workshop. They can confirm with proper diagnostics.
