Peugeot 4007 Overheating and Control Unit Error
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Peugeot 4007 is experiencing engine overheating, a check engine light, and coolant spills, likely due to over-pressurization. Diagnostics suggest a control unit communication error, possibly caused by a wiring issue. A similar problem was resolved by replacing a defective plug connection, which fixed the issue.

Thanks for the quick response. No, I haven't specifically checked the data link connector yet. Do you recall the specific error code you were getting, or any other details about how the mechanic solved the issue?

I'm afraid I do not recall the specific error code. I would strongly advise consulting your workshop to allow specialized troubleshooting. If the cables and connection plugs aren't the cause, it could be a software glitch.

Thanks. I appreciate the advice. It turned out to be a defective plug connection, as suspected. Replaced it for 95€ and everything seems fine now.

Good day. I own a Peugeot 4007 too, but not the same year. I experienced similar issues, though overheating was not present. Error codes indicated a control unit problem and the check engine light illuminated. Has your mechanic checked the data link connector?
