Peugeot 4007 power loss and starting issues

Hi, my 2012 Peugeot 4007 diesel is acting up. Only 22959 km on the clock. Getting reduced power, a warning light, poor starting, and flickering lights. Error memory isn't empty. Generator, maybe?

Hey! I had similar issues with my 4007. Weak lights, power loss, and it struggled to start sometimes. Have you checked the voltage across the battery terminals when the engine is running? A healthy alternator should keep it around 14V. Also, any weird noises from the serpentine belt area?

Voltage, no. Belt, no weird sounds. What was your issue in the end?

Mine turned out to be a defective generator. Symptoms sound identical. Honestly, with those lights and starting issues, plus the error codes, I'd say get it to a workshop ASAP. I ended up paying 960€, so be prepared...

Thanks for the info. It was indeed the generator. Replaced it and all good now.
