Interesting about the MAF sensor! No, haven't tried cleaning it yet. It's mostly rough at idle and low revs, gets a bit better as I accelerate. So, this compensation adjustment thing... is that a job for a regular mechanic, or specialist territory?

Yeah, that sounds injector-ish to me. The MAF was a long shot. Regarding the adjustment, you might get away with a forced reset with the right diagnostic tool, but honestly, with those symptoms, a garage with injector testing gear is your best bet. I ended up chasing my tail for weeks before biting the bullet!

Cheers, I feared as much. Took it to the local garage, they confirmed a defective injector. 515€ lighter now but the 4007 is running like a champ again!

Sounds familiar! Had similar grief with my old Saab 9-3. Compensation adjustment errors are a pain. Is it constantly rough, or just at certain revs? Did you try cleaning the MAF sensor? That fixed it once for me!
