Peugeot 4007 Solar Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Peugeot 4007 is experiencing a solar sensor error, which may be linked to low heating output. A potential cause could be a faulty connection or corrosion in the wiring or plugs related to the solar sensor. Checking and possibly repairing these connections might resolve the issue, and a workshop can provide a proper diagnosis and fix.

Thanks for the suggestion. Could you elaborate on which sensor you're referring to with 'dodgy connection'?

Yeah, sorry. I meant the actual plug going into the sunlight sensor. The Volvo had a similar setup near the dash. If the connection is loose or corroded, it can throw off the readings. If you're not comfortable doing that, a workshop will likely check for that. They can give you a proper diagnosis of the cable or plug connection for around 95€.

Thank you for your advice. It seems that it was indeed the cable or plug connection that was defective. I will bring it to the workshop.

That's a bummer! Sounds familiar. I had similar weirdness with my old Volvo V70 – climate control going nuts. For me, it turned out to be a dodgy connection on one of the sensors. Have you checked the wiring and plugs around the solar sensor? Could be a simple fix.
