Peugeot 4007 Stalling Reduced Power
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Peugeot 4007 with a diesel engine experienced stalling, reduced power, and a check engine light after a fuel filter change. The issue was suspected to be a defective fuel pressure regulator, as indicated by error codes related to fuel pressure. After consulting with a mechanic, the regulator was confirmed to be the problem and was replaced, resolving the issue.

Yes, it's a sudden drop, especially when idling after it warms up. I haven't been able to check the fuel rail pressure directly, but the codes point to it being low. Do you think it's the regulator for sure? Anything else I should be looking at?

Sounds very familiar. I was convinced it was the regulator. Honestly, save yourself the headache and get it checked at a workshop. They'll diagnose it properly. I ended up replacing mine and it fixed the problem.

That's what I was afraid of. Took it to a mechanic, and you were right; fuel pressure regulator was indeed defective! Error entry must have happened during the filter change like I thought. Replaced it for 45€ and now everything is back to normal!

I had similar issues with my 4007. Was it a sudden drop in power, almost like a fuel cut-off? Did you check the fuel rail pressure?
