Peugeot 4007 Undervoltage Issues

Hi, I'm experiencing undervoltage issues with my 2012 Peugeot 4007, diesel engine, currently at 224935 km. I'm seeing poor starts, system failures, weak/flickering lights, and the battery seems weak when starting. I suspect a discharged or defective battery, but I'd like some input before replacing it.

Hey! I've got a 4007 too and had similar problems last winter. Did you check the alternator output? Could be a charging issue rather than just the battery itself. Is it the original battery?

Thanks for the quick reply! No, the battery was replaced about 3 years ago. I haven't checked the alternator output yet, mainly because I don't have the equipment handy. What was the fix for your issue?

Turns out my alternator was on its way out, not providing enough charge, which killed my almost-new battery. I'd suggest getting the whole charging system checked. I ended up going to a workshop.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice! I'll take it to a workshop to get the charging system checked out. It ended up being the battery indeed. I had it replaced, total cost 290€. Now everything seems to be working fine.
