Hello, thanks for the quick reply! That sounds almost exactly like my situation. Good to know that it was apparently the control unit in your case. So a trip to the workshop is definitely on the cards. Can you remember how much it cost you to replace the control unit back then? And has everything worked smoothly since then or have there been any other problems? Many thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm glad I could help! Well, the whole thing cost €415 to repair the control unit. It was quite a lot of money, but since then my car has been as fit as a fiddle. So, everything to do with the power steering and those strange vibrations on the steering wheel have been magically gone since the visit to the mechanic. The signal error in the electric power steering had definitely been rectified. So it no longer drove me up the wall. I hope this helps you and that everything goes smoothly for you too! Take care!

Moin, wow, that sounds really encouraging! 415 isn't exactly a penny, but if it works again afterwards, it's worth it. Now I feel much better prepared when I go to the garage. I hope my mechanic can also fix the signal fault and stop the steering wheel vibrating. Thanks again for the help and valuable information! Take care!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my 2010 Peugeot 407. My control unit was defective, which led to several malfunctions, similar to yours. Vibrations on the steering wheel, ABS error message, everything. A workshop recognized the problem and replaced the control unit. After that, everything was okay again. It was a serious matter because the car was practically impossible to drive. Hope this helps you. All the best!
