Thanks for the quick reply. Fuel efficiency seems normal, and I haven't experienced any engine stalling. What kind of 'deeper issue' are we talking about? Should I be checking the vacuum system or the exhaust?

Given the absence of fuel efficiency decline or stalling, and the error code's reappearance, the issue's root cause may still exist. The error may indicate a leak in the vacuum system or a faulty valve in the exhaust system. With the information provided, a diagnostic check at a workshop is recommended.

Appreciate the advice. Took it to the shop as suggested. Turns out it was a faulty sensor causing a chain reaction. Bypass valve error was a symptom, not the cause. Repair cost: 0€ because it was still in warranty. Thanks again!

The bypass valve error and overheating on your Peugeot 4008, 2012 diesel, suggest a deeper issue. Bypass valve malfunctions are often consequential errors. Could you provide any additional information regarding fuel efficiency or engine stalling prior to the overheating?
