Thanks for the quick reply. I'm using the recommended fuel grade, but I haven't checked the ignition timing or knock sensor myself. Is checking the knock sensor something I can do myself, or does it require special tools?

Checking the knock sensor itself isn't too difficult; it's usually just a matter of disconnecting it and checking the resistance. But interpreting the values and diagnosing the root cause can be tricky without proper equipment. Given the smoke and error codes, it might be best to get it checked at a workshop. It could save you time and potential headaches down the line. I ended up doing that last time I had similar issues.

Appreciate the advice. I took it to the workshop, and you were right; it was heavy deposits in the combustion chamber. They cleaned it, adjusted the engine tuning, and the total repair cost was 425€. Runs like new now!

Hey, yeah, that sounds familiar. Have you checked the ignition timing or the knock sensor? Could also be related to fuel octane. I had similar symptoms in my old car, and it turned out to be bad fuel. What fuel grade are you using?
