Peugeot 4008 seat heating issue

Hi, I've got a problem with my 2012 Peugeot 4008 diesel. The seat heating isn't working. Neither side gets warm, and my reader is showing an error in the memory related to it. From what I've read, it seems like the heating mat might be the culprit. Has anyone else run into this?

Summary of the thread

A 2012 Peugeot 4008 owner is experiencing a seat heating issue, with neither side warming up and an error code indicating a problem with the seat heating circuit. The suspected cause is a faulty heating mat. Initial troubleshooting includes checking the fuses, which appear to be fine, suggesting the heating mat may need replacement. The recommended solution is to have a workshop handle the repair, as replacing the heating mat is complex.

I had a similar issue with my 4008. Does the error code point specifically to the seat heating element, or is it a more generic electrical fault? Have you checked the fuses related to the seat heating circuit? Sometimes it's something simple like that.

Thanks for the quick reply! The error code seems pretty specific to the seat heating circuit. I haven't checked the fuses yet, but I will definitely take a look. Where exactly are those fuses located? And if it's not the fuse, is replacing the heating mat a big job?

The fuse box should be located inside the car, usually under the steering wheel or in the glove compartment. Refer to your owner's manual for the exact location and fuse diagram. As for replacing the heating mat, it's not a simple DIY job, as you'll have to remove the seat cover which can be tricky. Better to go to a workshop.

Okay, thanks for the advice! I checked the fuses, and they seem to be fine, so it probably is the heating mat. I'll take it to a workshop and let them handle it. They quoted me around 390€ for the repair. Hopefully that solves it!
