Peugeot 4008 temperature reading issue

Hi, I've got a 2014 Peugeot 4008 with a gasoline engine that's throwing me for a loop. The display is showing weird temperature readings, the check engine light is on, and it takes ages to warm up. I suspect it might be the cooling grille being restricted somehow, maybe a fuse issue if there is one. Has anyone run into something similar?

I have a Peugeot 4008, though I'm not sure of the year offhand, and had similar symptoms. My initial thought would be that the problem is something else, but I guess it could be the cooling grille. Does it happen all the time, or only under certain conditions?

Good question. It seems to be worse in colder weather, but it's pretty consistent overall. Did you ever figure out what was causing your issues? I'm trying to narrow down the possibilities before I start throwing parts at it.

Yeah, turns out it was a faulty sensor in the cooling system. Given your description, I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop rather than poking around randomly. Could save you some money in the long run if you're not 100% sure. It may well be the cooling grille though.

Thanks for the advice! Turns out it was exactly as I initially thought, a defective fuse causing the cooling grille to stay restricted. Replaced it for 52€ and everything seems to be back to normal now.
