Summary of the thread
A 2003 Peugeot 406 diesel is experiencing electrical malfunctions, with errors stored in the memory and a non-functional navigation system. The issue is suspected to be related to the control unit programming, as diagnostic readings indicate implausible programming. A suggested solution is to perform a software refresh on the control unit, which has resolved similar issues for others.

I did read the error codes, and it indicates an issue with the control unit programming. The diagnostic suggests the programming of the control unit is implausible. The battery seems fine. Were your error codes similar, pointing towards a software bug?

Yes, the error codes were similar, suggesting a problem with the control module's software. In the end, I had to take it to a workshop. They performed a software refresh on the control unit, and that resolved the problem. It sounds like you might have to do the same.

It seems a visit to the workshop is unavoidable. I appreciate your insight into this issue. I will take it to them and request a software refresh. They quoted me around 240€ for the repair.

I also own a Peugeot 406. I had similar issues a while back. The navigation and some other electrical components went haywire. Did you try to read the error codes? It might give you a better idea of what's going on. Have you checked the battery?
