It's usually near the fan motor itself, but honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. I ended up doing that after messing with it for a while. Could save you some trouble.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were right, a defective cable connection was the problem. Cost me 95€ to fix.

I had a similar issue with my Peugeot 406. Check the cable and plug connections to the fan motor. That's a common culprit.
