Peugeot 406 Electric Fan Faulty

Hi, I have a Peugeot 406 from 2000, gasoline engine, with 178909 km. I think the electric fan is faulty, as the engine is overheating. I checked visually but couldn't see any obvious damage.

Summary of the thread

A Peugeot 406 from 2000 is experiencing engine overheating, suspected to be due to a faulty electric fan. The issue was identified as a defective cable connection to the fan motor. The recommended solution was to check the cable and plug connections, and ultimately, taking the car to a workshop resolved the problem.

I had a similar issue with my Peugeot 406. Check the cable and plug connections to the fan motor. That's a common culprit.

Thanks! Where exactly should I look for the plug connection?

It's usually near the fan motor itself, but honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. I ended up doing that after messing with it for a while. Could save you some trouble.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were right, a defective cable connection was the problem. Cost me 95€ to fix.
