Peugeot 406 glow plug issue

Hi, I'm having issues with my 2002 Peugeot 406 diesel (236098 km). The preheating lamp stays on, and there's an error stored. I suspect it's a defective glow plug. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hey, I had something similar with my 406 diesel. Was it also hard to start, and did you notice any change in fuel efficiency?

Starting is a bit harder, yes. And fuel efficiency seems slightly worse. Was it definitely the glow plugs in your case?

Yep, those were my symptoms exactly. I'd get it checked to be sure, but it sounds like the glow plugs. Cost me around 440€ to get it sorted.

Thanks! I took it to the workshop and they checked the glow plugs. It was indeed the glow plugs. Replaced them and all is well.
