Thanks for the suggestion. Are there specific areas on the electrical connections to the injectors that are prone to corrosion or loosening I should check first? And yes, the engine management light is on.

Given the engine management light and that you've checked connections, I'd get it diagnosed by a professional. It does sound like the connectors; in my case, it was connector three. Diagnosis should pinpoint the exact issue before you spend money on parts.

Got it. Thanks for the confirmation and advice. I took it to a workshop for a proper diagnosis. It was indeed a defective plug connection, and the repair cost 95€

I had a similar problem with my 406. Have you checked the electrical connections to the injectors themselves? A loose or corroded connection can cause those symptoms. Also, has the engine management light come on?
