Peugeot 406 Rear Ventilation Flap Fault

My 2001 Peugeot 406 gasoline, 299865 km, has a rear ventilation flap fault. Error stored, climate control malfunction, and air conditioning no longer cools. Suspect cable or plug connection. Anyone seen this?

I had a similar issue with my 406. Is the error specific to the flap actuator? Does it affect air distribution to the footwell?

Yes, error points to the flap actuator. Air distribution is off, mainly affecting the rear and footwell. System diagnostics point to an electrical fault. Did you also experience this?

That's exactly what I had. I checked all the obvious things but ultimately took it to a workshop. Cost me 95€ to resolve.
