Peugeot 406 Rear Ventilation Flap Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Peugeot 406 is experiencing a rear ventilation flap fault, leading to climate control malfunction and ineffective air conditioning. The issue is suspected to be related to a cable or plug connection, specifically affecting the flap actuator and air distribution to the rear and footwell. A similar case was resolved by addressing an electrical fault, suggesting that a workshop visit may be necessary to fix the connection issue.

Yes, error points to the flap actuator. Air distribution is off, mainly affecting the rear and footwell. System diagnostics point to an electrical fault. Did you also experience this?

That's exactly what I had. I checked all the obvious things but ultimately took it to a workshop. Cost me 95€ to resolve.

Understood. Thanks for confirming. Will get it checked at the workshop. The faulty connection was the culprit.

I had a similar issue with my 406. Is the error specific to the flap actuator? Does it affect air distribution to the footwell?
