Peugeot 406 rough running and stalling

Hi, I have a 2001 Peugeot 406 with a gasoline engine. Recently, the check engine light came on. The engine runs rough, stalls at idle, and sometimes jerks when I accelerate. Could a defective fuel pressure sensor be the problem? The car only has 37984 km. I checked the cable and plug connection, but I'm not sure if that's the issue.

Hey! I also have a 406. Your symptoms sound very familiar! Did you check the fuel injectors too? How old is your fuel filter?

I haven't checked the fuel injectors yet. The fuel filter might be old... Could a clogged fuel filter really cause all those problems?

Well, a clogged filter would restrict fuel delivery, but honestly, those symptoms point more towards the fuel pressure sensor like you said. I eventually took mine to a workshop, and they confirmed it.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a shop, and you were right. It was the fuel pressure sensor, and the cable was loose. Cost me 95€, but it's fixed!
