Peugeot 406 turn signal fault

I'm having an annoying issue with my 2000 Peugeot 406 diesel. The turn signal lamp is acting up. I keep getting an error stored in the error memory, and an error message pops up on the speedometer. It's obvious there's a fault in the lighting itself. I've checked the bulbs, and they seem fine. Could it just be a bad connection somewhere?

I had a similar issue with my Peugeot 406. From the symptoms you describe, it sounds like a cable or plug connection problem. Have you tried checking the flasher relay? Those can sometimes cause weird electrical issues.

Thanks for the reply! I haven't checked the flasher relay specifically. Where exactly is that located, and is it easy to get to? I'm not super experienced with car electrics, so any pointers would be really appreciated.

The flasher relay location can vary slightly, but it's usually behind the dashboard, near the steering column or in the fuse box. However, considering the stored error code, and given your experience level, I recommend consulting a workshop. Faulty wiring can be tricky to diagnose and repair properly.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I took it to the shop, and you were right, it was a defective cable connection. They repaired it, and the total cost was 95€. Everything's working perfectly now!
