Peugeot 407 Bumper Antenna Error

My 2005 Peugeot 407 with a gasoline engine is logging a 'bumper antenna' error. I have almost 300k km on the clock. Unlocking/locking is messed up, and sometimes the engine won't start unless the key's physically in the ignition. I suspect the antenna cable or connector is bad. Anyone seen this before?

I had something similar with my 407. Bumper antenna, right? Check the connection first. Could be a simple fix.

When you say 'similar,' do you mean the exact same symptoms? And which connection exactly did you check? Was it corroded or something?

Yep, all the same issues. Locking, starting, the whole shebang. Honestly, after fiddling for an afternoon, I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it for about 95€.

That's what I was dreading, but thanks for confirming. Looks like I'm workshop-bound! It was indeed the bumper antenna cable. They replaced it, and everything's working perfectly again!
