Peugeot 407 cold start issue

Experiencing a persistent cold start issue with my 2006 Peugeot 407, gasoline engine, now showing 52245 km. The engine runs poorly during the cold start phase, and the car starts with considerable difficulty. All the usual suspects like spark plugs and sensors were checked. Suspecting a fuel delivery issue, I've begun to focus on the fuel injection system, particularly the cold start injector. Given the symptoms, I'm leaning towards a defective injection valve. Has anyone encountered similar issues with this engine?

I had something similar on my 407. Felt like it was running on three cylinders when cold. Is it perhaps a faulty injector?

Could you elaborate on the specifics? Was it a consistent problem only during cold starts, and did a diagnostic confirm the injector issue? Any insight into the specific injector that failed, or if it was a broader fuel rail issue would be appreciated.

It was only when cold and yes, the garage confirmed it was a defective injector. If my memory serves me right, cylinder 1 was the culprit. I would suggest visiting a workshop to get a diagnostic.

Thanks for the confirmation. Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. Faulty cold start injector, exactly as suspected. Repair cost 515€. Appreciate the insight.
