Good point. Yes, it seems to be a little better when the engine is cold, but the symptoms are still there. Why do you ask?

Because with my Astra, the problem was definitely the EGR valve. It got progressively worse as the engine warmed up. Based on what you're describing, I'd say get it checked by a workshop, probably the EGR valve needs replacement.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were right, it was the EGR valve. Replaced it for 355€. Runs like new again.

Sounds familiar! I had similar symptoms on my old Vauxhall Astra. Check engine light, rough running, the whole shebang. Have you noticed any difference in performance when the engine is cold versus warm?
