Thank you for your quick reply! The battery connections? I may have overlooked something so elementary. Could corrosion or a loose connection truly cause such a dramatic failure? Was it visibly obvious in your case, or something more subtle?

It wasn't immediately obvious, to be honest. Everything looked reasonably clean at first glance. But upon closer inspection, there was some minor corrosion and one of the connectors was slightly loose. Tightening everything up and cleaning the terminals fixed the issue. But given it's an engine control malfunction, I would recommend you go to a workshop for diagnostics.

I am grateful for your suggestion. You were spot on! The cable connections to the battery were indeed the culprit. A good cleaning and tightening has resolved the issue. It cost me 155€ at the workshop, but now the car runs again. Thank you again, your insights were invaluable!

Hey there! Sorry to hear about your Peugeot troubles. It sounds frustrating. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra, and it drove me nuts for weeks. The symptoms were almost identical. Have you checked the cable connections of the battery? Seems basic, but in my case, that was the root of all evil.
